Phone a Friend

There are times in our lives when, let’s face it, mentally, we’ve simply had enough. Your brain can’t process any more “stuff” coming into it. Your emotions are off the rails, your body physically says, “Um, Hello, will ya give it a break already?”, you finally say enough and you step away.

Well trust me, this is not a bad thing. I think this is Father’s way of saying, “Hello did you forget about me…AGAIN…?” In those moments when we are at our wit’s end, when we feel like we have to talk to someone, we typically think of a close friend or family member who “gets us”. That’s ok, we need to physically talk through things with those closest to us, we need to hear them say, “it’s all good, you got this”. We need to hear that calming reassurance from people we love.

You’d probably be ok if I just ended here right? Weeeelllll, I just want to offer something to consider. What if, yes what if, instead of picking up the phone to call that family member or friend, what if we simply stopped and talked to Father instead? What if you said the very same things to God that you would say to that family member or friend? Do you think you would “hear” and feel the response? I truly believe if we open ourselves totally to Father, and let him in, we will indeed hear the response and the overflowing love and support to help us.

So the next time you go to phone a friend, stop first and pick up the phone with Father and have that conversation. Then, of course, carry on with that conversation with your earthly family and friend. Hey, the more support the better πŸ™‚

2 Timothy 4:17
But the Lord stood with me and gave m strength.
