Last night while driving I noticed that the moon was yet again approaching full. “Wow, look at that moon”, I said to my husband. To which he replied, “yep it’s just about full again”. Then we both chimed in, “Seems like it’s been a full moon for the last two years!”.
We all know how crazy things can get during the full moon cycle. It just seems like all common sense goes out the door, people do things they wouldn’t normally do, weird events happen, you name it, it all happens during those full moons. And…we won’t even talk about the werewolves 🙂
I can blame my day’s craziness yesterday on the full moon. Ya, I had a plan of what I wanted to accomplish. I had my nice and tidy to-do list, which was destroyed by 10:00am. At one point I said to myself, “You just can’t make this stuff up”.
Well, as the day ended and I found myself on my lanai before bed, spending time with Father, I was yet again staring at that moon. Only now, that moon was absolutely beautiful. The colors were amazing, the clouds floated by it, and all I could do was say, “Thank you Father for this amazing site”. The moon had transformed from a sign of craziness to a thing of beauty.
I guess the point of my blog today is to just ask you to take the time to look past the craziness. Look past the ugly that’s dropped into your lap. Look past the moments when you say, “You just can’t make this up”. Know that there is beauty in everyone and there is a lesson in every situation.
Father created this beautiful place for his children. Father created us his children, to love each other. We’re human, we’re goofy, we’re difficult, but we’re his. And…at the end of the day, we need to be here for each other. Reach out to a friend, call a loved one, knock on the door of a neighbor, or, just say thank you to the server in the coffee shop who is pulling a double shift because a co-worker just decided not to come in. Take a moment to say thank you, and make sure one of those moments is with Father.
