Yesterday was a long day. I’m in conference planning mode and let’s just say that nights are long and sleep is at a premium. I worked out in the morning as I always do, and when I got home, I was dragging!
I had not one but two travel mugs full of coffee, got up frequently from my desk to walk around, and even tried an energy seltzer, OY, I was still dragging.
Well, I was getting increasingly anxious as I looked at what needed to be completed, and that’s when I decided to find some “jammin” music. Ok, so those of you who know me, know that my “jammin” music is not what you think. Give me a 90’s country channel, or some Yacht Rock radio and I’m all good π But, yesterday, when I went to my music, what jumped out to me was the bookmark page of worship music.
Tap, tap, tap…Ya, that was God tapping me on the shoulder and saying, “Why don’t you let me help with this one?”. Ahhhhh, got it, no problem Father, let’s do this. One of my favorite songs is by Mercy Me, titled “Say I Won’t”, and it was the first in the playlist, and…it was PERFECT and what I needed.
So, let me share this great song with you this morning. I totally encourage you to listen to it as you are driving to the office, sipping your coffee, making breakfast, or whatever you are doing, just crank it up! Oh, and be prepared to do some toe-tapping!
Father, thank you for always being there when I need you most and least expect it. You are my rock and you never leave my side π
Psalm 78:35
And they remembered that God was their rock,
And the most High God their Redeemer
