This morning kicks off the last day of major prep for our conference this week. Our team is all here, we know what needs to be done and we are laser-focused on “git r done”. I’m privileged to work with an amazing group of people. Like all teams, you have those moments when you disagree, you have moments when you get hurt, or you get angry, or you feel slighted. But, then Father steps in and shows you the gift of individuals who have become friends, almost family over the past years.
During our team dinner last night we exchanged gifts. The card and message from one of my team members made me stop as I read it, so as not to cry amid everyone 🙂 “Squeeze your butt cheeks”, someone reminded me, (that’s an inside joke from last year’s conference and topic for another blog).
I’m also blessed to have met so many wonderful people through this work that I do. When I came back to my room last night I was greeted with a gift delivered to me from a friend. The card with the gift was so heartfelt and for the second time in the evening, I was brought to tears. This friend thanked me for this little blog and the sharing that I do every day. I was humbled to read her message.
God has blessed my life in so many ways. As I look at these blessings again, I’m humbled. So many days I’ve looked up and simply thought, “I don’t deserve this blessing”. But, as I look at these blessings, I know that my task is to make sure everyone knows that Father is here and is offering his blessings to everyone. We only need to be open to seeing them. And…we need to be open to sharing them.
So as you go off to work or school, or as you board a plane headed to Scottsdale even, give thanks for the gifts Father provides. Love your family, cherish your friends, be open to sharing with strangers, be humbled by the gifts you’ve been given, and know that God is with us always.
Thank you friends for your continued kind words of encouragement as I do my best to share Father’s love each day in this little blog.
1 Peter 5:6-7
Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
