It’s late summer in SW Florida. So…it rains. I mean it rains ALOT! My husband and I love to use our grill when we cook dinner. We’ve been pretty bummed lately because, ya you guessed it, the rain in the late afternoons and evenings has pushed us inside to our air fryer or indoor grill.
Last night was the exception. The rain came through earlier in the afternoon. As I was starting to prepare dinner I looked to the east and to the west, I could see a break in the clouds and blue sky! At the same time, the most beautiful rainbow formed over our little community. It was stunning. A couple of neighbors texted to ask if we saw the rainbow. We had indeed and it was glorious. One of our friends commented, “It’s a peek right into Heaven”.
My husband did a quick check of the radar, and said, “I think we can do this”! We did indeed. We stepped outside to grill and enjoy the beautiful sky and the relaxing time together. It’s been a while since we’ve been able to do this, and it felt good. I think Father knew we needed this little bit of time to just enjoy his creation, and ya, enjoy a little Weber Grill time π
Father tends to give us just what we need when we need it. Just when you think, “enough already”, he gives a break, a ray of hope, a rainbow, a peek right into Heaven.
I encourage you to look for those moments. Don’t get lost in the crazy of the day or the times, (we all know it’s too crazy these days). Don’t succumb to the craziness. Stop and look at your surroundings. Look at what Father is showing you. Step away from the crazy and soak in the beauty of what God had given us. Even if it’s just the gift of a rainbow after a storm or the gift of some time around your Weber Grill π
Just a little p.s… As I was prepping my pictures for this little blog today, my Google photos showed me pictures from one year ago today… Yep, believe it or not, I had taken a picture of a rainbow this time last year as well. Ya, Father is having fun right now, kinda sayin’ are you listening?
Genesis 9:13
I set My bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a sign of a covenant between Me and the earth.
