One of the most beautiful sites to see down here in SW Florida is the symbol of our nation, the Eagle. It’s not uncommon to be driving along and look up to see one flying, or, as we saw not long after being here, one sitting on a golf course with its breakfast š If you are out on a boat or jet ski you will often find them in their nests, many built on the water markers.
These incredible birds are such a symbol. They are not only beautiful, but they are also attentive, graceful and they are strong. Eagles also mate for life and they build their nest, their home, together.
Through hurricane Ian, many concerns arose about our Eagle population down here. Did they leave, were they hurt, did they survive? Well, over the past week there have been many sightings, including a pair rebuilding their nest that was badly damaged during the storm.
Yes, I believe truly there is a reason the Eagle is the symbol of our nation. Because our Nation’s people are the same. Like our Father and His Son Jesus, we are beautiful, attentive, graceful, and strong. Our relationship with Father is for life. Like the pair of eagles here, we are rebuilding.
As you have your coffee this morning and head off to work, think about these incredible birds, but also think about what they stand for, beauty and strength. Think about your relationships with family, and pray with Father about your relationship with him. Have a great day everyone, and thank you Father for the gift of our Bald Eagles š
Psalm 104:12
Beside them the birds of the heavens dwell; they sing among the branches.
