Yep, that’s today… having breakfast with a dear friend this morning to start the day, then I’m actually looking forward to getting some things done. My poor car needs a bath, (the dust from the clean-up work around the city covers everything these days), my lanai could use a good scrubbing, and I have some final things to do for our Christmas market at church next weekend. So yes today is a day to just do.

Now having said that, I’m guessing there might be some college football playing in the background, especially since the Illini and the VOLS are ranked, AND TN #2 just happens to play GA #1 today, oy!

But I think today, a day to do, is also a good day to chat with Father as I work. You know when you get in a zone and you start doing things, you move from one thing to the next and before you know it, you’ve accomplished much. That’s my hope today, and I’m looking forward to having some quality time with God as I do. I know, it seems a little weird to say I’m looking forward to doing chores basically. Call me crazy I guess, but I’m ok with it.

So whatever you’re doing today friends, I hope you get a little time with God, and oh, maybe a little time with your favorite college football team. Enjoy the day and say a little prayer of thanks for the blessings we all share.
