Faith

Here we are, just six weeks post-Ian and Nicole comes rolling through our Sunshine State. She is enormous, with some reports measuring 600 miles wide. Another storm blankets the entire state in some fashion.

I’m lifting prayers this morning for my friends all along the East Coast of Florida, and all those in the path of this storm. Having been through Ian, I have a different view of these storms now. I know how dangerous they can be, and how quickly they can change.

What I also know is that my faith in God’s children is incredibly strong. You see, when you go through a storm like Ian or Nicole you come together. Neighbor helps neighbor, and we don’t care about where we’re from, how we vote, the color of our skin, or whether we’re financially blessed or not. Life-changing events like these make us see each other as who we are, we are simply God’s children and we can overcome incredible challenges when we do so together.

Faith is a pretty amazing thing. With it, we can overcome fear, see the best in the worst situations, and find the strength to rise above the struggles. So this morning friends, dig deep and lean into faith, faith that our Father will help us through whatever comes our way.

Stay safe my Florida friends, together we will overcome and rebuild. #FloridaStrong

Hebrews 11:6
And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.
