If you’re like me, you’ve probably found yourself scratching your head some days. I don’t know about you but there are times when I just don’t understand what in the world is happening. For instance, it’s not uncommon here in our community to literally watch someone just drive right through a four-way stop, I mean literally not even tap the brakes. It’s not uncommon, no actually it’s the norm now to hear news reports tallying the number of shootings over the weekend in Chicago. It’s not uncommon to hear about someone trying to hijack a car while the owner is simply trying to put gas in the tank on their way home. It’s not uncommon to hear about a child who has been kidnapped or is missing. Yes, there are days I just can’t help but wonder what Father is thinking of the beautiful world and children he created.
Then, I remind myself that lately, it’s not uncommon to see a group of teens shovel the drive of an elderly neighbor. It’s not uncommon to see a community hold a fundraiser for a child diagnosed with leukemia. It’s not uncommon to see total strangers help each other rebuild after a devastating storm. In the midst of the crazy, and yes even the ugly these days, I do believe there is good inside God’s children.
This morning I thought I’d share this song as you have your coffee or head out to work. I think we need to remember Father, what he created, why he created it, and Give this World Back to God.
Hebrews 13:16
Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.
