Well, here we are, yes, yes it’s Monday again. If you’re like me you look back and think, where did my weekend go? Usually around dinner time on Sunday, I start asking myself that question, and then the looming sense of, “tomorrow is Monday again already”, sets in. I start to think about the things I need to do, I’m making lists in my head, or literally, on post-it notes on my desk and before I know it, I’m readying for bed.

Yes, I must admit that Mondays are not my favorite days of the week. But I guess we have to start somewhere 🙂 . As I started to talk with Father this morning about helping to kick-start me for this day and week I thought others may need a boost to get going this week. So, I simply share this prayer with anyone who might need it.

Father, I thank you for today, and every day. You’ve blessed me with waking this morning and I know that you will be with me throughout the day. Please, Lord, guide me to do my best in all I undertake today. Help me to be a resource to those who need it and to use the gifts and talents you’ve given me to serve those around me. Help me Lord to be a better child of yours and one that you can be proud of. Father, don’t let today be just another Monday, help me to set today not as a duty, but as a privilege. Give me a positive, joyful attitude. Give me the motivation and energy I need to not only make it through the day but to cherish it. Use me today Lord to do your work. In Your precious name, I pray. Amen.

So friends, let us not look to today with dread, but rather as a gift. Father has blessed us with this day, regardless of its name. Let’s work together to make it the best day we can 🙂 . Happy Monday my friends!
