Change Us

Recently I saw a post on social media, a meme that said, “We ask God to change our situation not realizing he put us in the situation to change us”. Wow, I really, really like this because I think it’s so true.

Over the past three years, we’ve all been through so much. I don’t think it’s too much of an exaggeration to say our world has gone “caddie wonkas”. I don’t need to list all that we’ve lived through, I’m sure you all have your own lists, but I would ask that you just think about some of the things we’ve been through.

Having put those reminders out there, I’d like to fast forward to say the last three months or so and put our focus there. Over these past few months, I’ve seen a shift, a change in many ways. I’ve seen God’s children come together in some very unlikely places. I’ve seen unlikely people gather and help one another. I’ve seen people who don’t even know each other lend a hand to make something better. I’ve seen friendships form between people who are from totally different walks of life. I’ve seen an entire stadium of NFL players kneel on live TV and pray. I’ve seen a sports announcer stop a live broadcast to do the same, pray to God.

Father is at work my friends, he is changing us, there is no doubt in my mind. People gather online, via text, in private social media groups, or come together in person and read the bible, lift prayers and support each other. We are growing stronger and coming closer to Father.

I say it all the time in this little blog, Father wants a relationship with us. He doesn’t just want to hear from us when things go wrong when we want him to change our situation. He wants us to be with him through everything, the good and the bad. And…he asks that we show others the relationship they too can have with him.

So yes, we are changing, changing for the better my friends. Embrace those changes knowing you are a stronger person. We’ve been through a lot and we’ve grown closer to Father, which is a great place to be.

Have an awesome day my friends 🙂 .

The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.
