Well, it’s not mine but it is our youngest’s birthday. Our daughter Lauren celebrates today, (well she’s been celebrating all month, but who’s counting). Of course, we’re wishing her the best of birthdays! And…I have it on pretty good authority, like from her, that she will be spending this afternoon relaxing over her latest lego set, The Hogwarts Express. Yes, Lauren has been a Lego enthusiast since she was able to walk. She has amazing sets that don her home AND her law office, and she never tires of them.

In today’s little blog, I just send out that special birthday prayer that a dear friend of ours, (actually my grandson’s Godfather, Captain Patten), used to pray every year on our birthdays. If he didn’t physically see you that day, he would be sure to call to say the prayer to you. Today Lauren, I offer this prayer in honor of John.

Watch over thy child, O Lord, as her days increase; bless and guide her wherever she may be. Strengthen her when she stands; comfort her when discouraged or sorrowful; raise her up if she fall; and in her heart may thy peace which passeth all understanding abide all the days of her life;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
