Yesterday after church, I put together the fixings for soup in the crock pot. Yes even here in South Florida, the weather warranted soup. It was 40 when we headed out to church, and I had to dig deep into the closet for warm sweaters π . It was nice to have the smells of a crock pot going all day.
Later in the afternoon while I was out running errands, gathering supplies for our chili cook off on Saturday, I picked up a chair I’ve been wanting. It’s one of those zero-gravity chairs you can use at the beach or on your patio. Well, I tried it out last night, score!! Man it was nice and just what I had hoped, and I look forward to a Sunday afternoon nap in the sun with this puppy in the future.
In honor of our youngest’s birthday, my husband and I parked in front of one of the Harry Potter movies with dinner. Ya, she’s a fan, well our entire family would fall into that category actually. Anyway, we put on number four, The Goblet of Fire, it’s my favorite π . You know, it was comfortable watching a movie we’ve seen so many times.
I got to thinking this morning about how sometimes you just need “comfy”. You need to watch things, do things, listen to things, or ya sit in things that make you feel comfortable. Don’t get me wrong, I know the value of challenging yourself and stepping outside of what makes you comfortable, that’s what makes us grow as individuals. But yesterday, it was just nice to do a few things that were relaxing before the start of the new week.
So, this morning, I thought I’d share a song to start the week in a comfy mode. It’s a remake of a song most of us know and I’m pretty sure you’ll be signing it on your way to work, school, or wherever your day takes you. I love this group and hope you’ll enjoy their rendition. Have a great day my friends π .
2 Corinthians 1:3
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort.
