Camels to Blogging?

Well yep, it’s Wednesday and you all know what day that is right, (inserts camel emoji here) 🙂 . For a very long time, I used to do posts on my Facebook page every Wednesday reminding people of the day. I would look for the cutest, funniest, most amazing pictures of camels I could find and I’d post them. Everyone began to associate me with my Wednesday posts and before I knew it, I was being tagged in posts wherever there was a camel. I even have a few stuffed dromedary’s in my office, (oh that’s a fancy word for camel), as well as a beautiful pillow with a hand-painted camel on it given to me by a dear friend. I’d go to meetings or conferences and people laugh and say how they loved my Wednesday posts, “they make me smile”, they would say.

I fell away from my camel posts in 2020 when I began to post bible verses, prayers, and hymns with my sunrise and sunset pictures. Every day for several months I found a comforting piece of scripture or a song, or a short prayer to post with a beautiful image of the sky. I knew people needed hope and peace and this was my way of trying to give some of that. Friends began to message me and say they really loved my posts, “I look forward to these every day, they give me peace”. Little did I know at the time that those posts were the foundation for this little blog.

Over the past month or so many people have reached out to me privately to tell me how this little blog has touched them each day. They have commented on how reading this has helped them come closer to God. Some have said they are finding they are more at peace and are praying more. Some have gone so far as to tell me reading this each morning is their personal daily bible study. I can’t tell you how humbled I am to get these messages and hear how my words can help others. You see they aren’t my words, they are Gods. God guides me each day and I’m blessed to be able to share what I can.

I still love to post an occasional camel picture or emoji on Wednesdays, but I’m confident that, this little blog is what Father wants me to focus on. My relationship with him has grown stronger because of the time I spend each morning, and if I can help just one person come closer to God, then I’m doing what he wants. It’s funny how God changes our paths and guides us to where he wants us to be. From camels to blogs, I’m finding my way 🙂

So this morning as you read this over your coffee or while you’re getting ready for your day, I hope you’ll take a moment to think about what God may be calling you to do. He’s in our midst my friends, and when you feel that nudge, go with it, you might just find a talent you never knew you had.

Have a great day friends 🙂 .
