I had an idea for today’s little blog post, and after giving it some thought, I decided on a different direction. I just didn’t feel I could put my initial thoughts here the way I wanted to. Guess I need to noodle on those for a bit. Who knows maybe I’m “growing as a writer”, oh, now that’s funny 🙂 .

Anyway, I decided it was a good day for some music to get us going. You know me, I love finding new songs, especially those that put me in a good mood and get me going for the day. Starting the day with upbeat music, with a good message and a great beat, well it can set the tone for your day.

I’ve shared several songs by MercyMe and recently they released this song, Better Days Coming. Boy, I think the title alone gives hope. We all know there are better days ahead, we all know one day we will be with Father and his Son, and we all know we will see our loved ones who have gone before us. But…we have work to do here first. God has tasked us with sharing His love, stewarding His land, and building His kingdom here. Sometimes it’s easier to focus on Heaven and how wonderful it will be there, especially when things get difficult here on earth.

Don’t lose sight of our mission here friends. Keep spreading God’s love, help your neighbor, give of yourself, and show someone what it’s like to truly know Father. As this song says, better days are coming, but let’s do what we can to make the days better here, where we are right now.
