Last night we had dinner with a group of friends, we all go to the same church. It was a beautiful evening, it’s always great to get together and catch up. Even though we all go to the same church, we’re usually at different services so we are all kind of passing each other on Sunday mornings.
As you can imagine there were many conversations last night. We talked about everything from the traffic in Naples to fishing trips to Habitat for Humanity and scads of other things. As I watched the conversations last night I noticed something. I was noticing how God was so in the middle of everything. I could feel him there. I know, I know, you’re like ok here she goes again. But, there was a feeling last night a sense of Father among us.
I’ve been saying in my recent little blog posts that I’ve seen God at work. His children are stepping up every day to help each other, to contribute, and to share his love. Well, last night during a couple of conversations friends described feeling God present. For instance, we talked about a recent church service a few weeks ago. The sunlight was coming through one of our church windows, while the beautiful organ music played. The beams shone down in just such a way that they were unmistakably felt as God in our midst. You’re probably thinking, well ya, that’s the church you should feel God there. I get that, but there are times, yes even in church when you have an experience that touches you differently.
As we conversed last night, I mentioned that I felt God was on the move. Everyone agreed, they feel his presence more, and they see his children in action. I guess it was a little validation for me that I wasn’t just trying to see the good that is happening. God’s faithful are making themselves known, and perhaps the feelings we have, the sense of Him with us is His way of saying “yes I’m here, now keep going, keep doing”.
Just a short little message today friends to say I do believe Father is at work in our lives every day. I’m feeling Him more and I’m seeing Him through the actions of so many. I’ll keep doing my best to be one of those many. Keep an eye out, I’m guessing you’ll see Him on the move as well š .
Have a wonderful Sunday friends š .
