Can You Do It?

Interesting question for this little blog today, can you do it? Over the last few weeks, I’ve shared some experiences where Father has been tapping me on the shoulder, (well some days it’s more of a full-out shove because I’m not getting it), to do some things. With each experience, I find myself now actively looking for what He wants me to do next, and what path He wants me to take.

The timing of things over these weeks has been interesting, and what I can tell you is I so feel God in the midst of it all. When I wonder if I’m doing what He wants there is almost always a sign to confirm I’m on the right track. Last week, for instance, during the sermon at church, our Priest shared a message of feeling the moment and knowing for certain you are doing what God wants. I receive wonderful comments weekly about this little blog, many of you praying or lending a hand where your heart calls you, yes Father is on the move.

So, why the title of today’s little blog? Here’s my question, if Father calls you to do something you have difficulty with, can you do it? I certainly struggled at first, but as I do some of these things I see why He is guiding me to do them. None of it is difficult, it just might be uncomfortable at first. For instance, can you pray for those who have wronged you or with whom you differ? Can you pray for individuals who don’t agree with you politically, don’t run in your same circles, or those who have hurt you in the past? Not easy, trust me I know. But Father is calling us to do just that: pray for ALL of his children. A friend texted last night and asked a group of us to pray for something that quite honestly surprised me. That my friends is God at work.

Another friend sent me a beautiful text yesterday thanking me for this little blog every day. She commented that she had picked up a few gift cards and handed them out to people on the street corners with signs asking for help in her community. She simply said “God Bless” as she gave them. Again, Father at work in us.

So, I choose to believe that YES we can indeed do it, we can indeed do the work that Father is asking us to do. There may be some uncomfortable moments, but I think the reward is so worth it. God is giving us the opportunity to get to know His children. He is giving us the opportunity to let go of hurt we may have carried, to let go of anger or disappointment we may have through forgiveness and prayer. We can do it, my friends, we just need to believe in ourselves and more importantly trust in Him.

Ask Father to guide you, and then jump in and do. Oh, and I’ll be saying a little prayer for all of you as I start this day. I’m so blessed to have you all in my life. Have a great day my friends 🙂 .

Romans 8:26
Likewise the spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.
