The Lord is Risen Indeed, Alleluia!
Just a short little blog this morning all as we Celebrate the resurrection of our Lord.
On that first Easter morning, Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of James went to the tomb of Jesus. There they discovered the tomb was unsealed and the stone rolled away. According to Matthew’s gospel, an Angel appeared to them and announced, “Don’t be afraid! I know you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead, just as he said would happen.”
Jesus makes at least five appearances on Easter Sunday. He appears to Mary Magdalene, to Peter, to two disciples on the road to Emmaus, and later in the day he appears to all the disciples, except Thomas, while they are praying together in a house.
He is Risen and He is with us always. He will never forsake us. We need only give ourselves to Him fully.
Have a wonderful Easter my friends, Alleluia He is Risen!
Matthew 28:19-20
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
