I’m guessing most people would agree with me, that when the Spring season finally breaks through, your mood changes. For me anyway, things begin to brighten, the buds are coming out on trees, the flowers are coming up through the earth, and the sky changes to brighter colors. It’s truly a fresh start!
I’ve been seeing wonderful pictures on social media. Farmers are in the fields, turning over the soil to bring it back to life from its winter slumber, neighbors are trimming trees that didn’t fare so well from the weight of winter snow, first Spring mowing is taking place, ahhh that smell of freshly mown grass 🙂 . The Spring rains seem to wash away all of the winter ick, you know the salt on the roads the winter haze, yep it gets washed away and leaves a fresh smell in the air, and the sky even looks clearer.
I think Spring also brings a chance to try new things. My daughter and I recently chatted about starting a garden. She has a friend who plants a large garden every year and has offered to lend a hand. My grandson has been doing some work at school in this area, watering plants and such and she is looking forward to having him help in this garden as well. What a great family project that can teach him some valuable life skills and the simple value of nurturing seeds to plant to fresh vegetables. I’m looking forward to seeing their results.
I guess it really isn’t a coincidence that Easter comes at this time. Spring, Easter, new beginnings, a fresh start, new life. Sound familiar, new life just like Jesus promised in his final days. Thank you Father for the gift of your Son and thank you for the fresh start that the Spring season brings.
I hope this springtime brings a fresh start to you, my friends. May your skies be clearer, the grass a little greener, and may your relationship with Father be stronger than ever. Have an awesome day everyone 🙂 .
2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.
