Little Answers

There are times in this life when things just aren’t going well. Days when you get frustrated, times when the hill seems too big to climb, situations that present themselves and you feel paralyzed to overcome them. Well that’s a fine way to start this little blog, isn’t it?

Ya, you all know me, I tend to just blurt out feelings, thoughts, you name it, here in this little space. I wanted to bring up the reality that some days just aren’t the best. And…there are times when those days stretch together and before you know it, you’re not in a good place. You feel lost, overwhelmed, and maybe even angry. Your praying to Father to help, show the way, guide you, help answer your questions and it just seems like those answers aren’t coming. Or at least that’s what you think. Sometimes my friends, no answer is an answer πŸ™‚ .

I bring all of this up to say I’m not immune to bad days. I’m not immune to a string of bad days, and I’m certainly not immune to the rash of emotions that can come with it. Yes, I’ve had a few of these days recently, a string of them. I’ve found myself not understanding what it is Father is trying to teach me. Trust me I’m still trying to understand much of that. However, there are days when you do see little answers coming to your prayers.

What’s interesting is it usually takes a major “aha” moment to show those little answers. There is something that usually happens to help you see things clearer, to step back and look at the issues, challenges, mountains, whatever you’re dealing with, you look at them differently.

Yesterday was one of those “aha” moments for me. I won’t bore you with all of the details, only to say that for me, I know without any doubt whatsoever, that our Lord, our Father is right beside us each and every day. He hears our prayers and I do believe that He does answer our prayers. Sometimes those answers are just little answers but my gosh when those little answers come in multiples before you know it, things look brighter.

Friends, as you ready yourself for the day, grab that cup of coffee and spend a little time with Father. Don’t ever lose hope, and don’t ever feel like He’s not there or not listening. Let Him be your best friend. Give whatever you are feeling to Him. Share your fears, your doubts, your insecurities, your anger, whatever it is, give it to Him and ask for His strength. He will guide you, just open your heart to listening. And…look for those little answers because sometimes, that’s all you need.

Have a wonderful day my friends! Oh and if you’re wondering…me thinks I’m going to have to start over one more time on that sourdough starter. Ahh, the joys of learning something new!

1 John 5:14
And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us.
