Sunsets

I started this little blog last year as a way to share Father’s love through the sunrise and sunset pictures I’ve taken over the many years. My original plan was to write a book, (that may not be totally off the table), but God kept nudging me, and as the home page of this little site says, here I am. Over the years I’ve been fortunate to capture some pretty stunning sunrise and sunset pictures, but for me, there is nothing like an amazing sunset.

As I’ve gradually built my collection of photos, and shared them throughout the years on social media, friends began to share pictures with me. I would get tagged in this post or that one, (and still do), or people would send them to me directly via text. What I didn’t realize is that the wonder of God’s beauty was making its way through those amazing pictures across many, many miles. These pictures connect Father’s children. He is seen in every beautiful sunset. A simple gift that costs nothing to accept and treasure.

This time of year as spring begins to change to summer, I hope you will take a moment, or two, and enjoy the simple gift of watching the sunset. There is a peace that comes with watching, no matter where I am, when I watch the sunset, I feel a little more relaxed, you know kind of that “ohm” moment 🙂 .

God has blessed me with some amazing friends who freely share their photos of His artwork. Thank you to my friend Mike, and his friend Diane, who shared with me the header photo of today’s little blog. This photo was taken on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. I’ve never been there, but my goodness the picture makes me want to visit.

Friends, take time to enjoy the beauty Father has provided. The simple gifts of the rising and setting of the sun. Share those gifts with others, and before you know it, God’s love is spreading as you share. Have a great day my friends, may it be filled with a beautiful sky 🙂 .

Psalm 113:3
From the rising of the sun to its setting, the name of the Lord is to be praised.
