I’ve been thinking quite a bit the last few days about the challenges that occur in our life. Let’s face it, sometimes there are bad things that happen, situations that occur that knock us to our knees. It’s easy to get wrapped up in the mire of what is happening, and before you know it, Satan has made his way into the party to keep you down in the muck. I’ve been wondering about that too, meaning why is it so easy to let Satan keep us down, rather than just leaning on Father for guidance and strength? I guess it’s that whole relationship thing again, being in a true faith-based loving relationship with God, means having that strength ingrained in us to overcome the desire to let Satan do his happy dance in our head.
When bad things happen, I think it’s important to not let it own you, not let those things control you. God brings us through challenges and provides the opportunity for us to be stronger on the other side. There are so many things to learn from the difficulties we go through in this life. We grow with each challenge, we learn, and we discover how we can help others through our experiences.
How many times have you heard a story about a person or family who went through a tragedy and on the other side started a foundation to help others who had a similar experience. These people lived through the pain, became stronger, and turned that pain into loving support for others. They chose to not let the situation/experience own them or define them but rather to overcome it. And…in those stories, you tend to always hear how God was with them through the journey.
I guess this morning I’m doing one of those random thought dumps again friends. I just feel like Father wants us to know that we are stronger than we may think some days. I feel like he’s telling us to stand firm in our love of Him and to trust that He will guide us through. We are His children, we can overcome the bad that comes our way, and together we can lift each other to better places in this life.
Thanks for listening to my ramblings, wishing you a wonderful day, and remember God is always, always with us.
Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
