So, yesterday our team reviewed the venue for our 2024 conference. We were all in agreement that this was a very timely and beneficial visit. When you are looking at a printed floor plan, or a map of a facility, you get a vision of where things are, what the space looks like, and where you can put things. However, when you arrive onsite you quickly see how different the physical space looks. You quickly understand that what you had pictured in your head is not at all how things truly are. Yes, this trip saved us from many challenges in the coming months. We have a clear understanding and a solid plan going forward. It’s just very interesting how our perspective changed over the course of the day yesterday. Our initial, “Wow how do we handle this”, went to “Wow we can do this and this and this”…
This morning as I think through the events of yesterday I wonder how our experience was much like our perspectives on life. How many times have we thought we understood a situation only to find out how wrong we were. How many times have relationships been hurt or broken because we “thought” we knew but mistakenly misunderstood what was occurring. Our perspective can cloud the true situation.
Counter to that, how many times have we experienced challenges in this life only to dig deeper to overcome and be stronger. How many times have we rebuilt, started over, or just picked ourselves up and realized that Father is using us to show the strength we truly have. Our perspective changes from being a victim to being a survivor, a fighter, and a blessed child of God.
I don’t know, maybe I’m stretching things a bit with my thoughts here. I just know that perspectives change, probably as we get older, and definitely based on what we are going through. At the end of the day, I think as long as we have Father at the center of what we do, He will guide those perspectives. If we lean totally on Him, we will be strong enough to acknowledge those new perspectives. Whatever our perspectives, let’s keep God close. Let’s do his work, and let’s be guided by His 100% unconditional amazing love.
Have a great day my friends, and as always, thanks so much for your support of my silly ramblings here every day 🙂 .
