Knowing the Ending

A friend sent me a text yesterday morning that started my day with a smile. The text said that she had seen this message on a friend’s social media page and she thought of me. Here is what that message said, “Believers live with the confident joy of knowing how the story turns out”. I thought to myself, yes, yes we do indeed.

As I thought about that message though I thought about how easy it could be to just float through life knowing how things end. We know that Father gave the gift of His Son for us. Jesus paid the true ultimate price for us. All our sins nailed to that cross, He took them all for us so that we may have everlasting life with Him. Yes, we know how the story ends and for that, I am so grateful. I can’t imagine the fear I would have if I didn’t know the ending.

However having said all of that, just because we know how the story ends doesn’t mean we don’t have to do anything further. It doesn’t mean that we just plod along and wait for Jesus’ return. I think it’s quite the opposite, I think because we know how this story ends it’s even more important to share the gift of God’s love and strength to show others that they too are part of this.

I know, I’m a broken record here, but I just don’t feel that Father brought us into this world to simply live our life. We’re here to steward the land that He gave us, to leave it better than we found it, and to show His love in all that we do. We’re here to share the promise that Jesus made to us, that He is with us even until the end, and that through Him we have life everlasting. By doing this, we bring others who may not know Father’s love, we bring them into a closer relationship and before you know it, that message grows and grows.

So yes my friends, as believers we do live with the confident joy of knowing how the story turns out. Let’s do our best to share that story with others so they too can live with confident joy.

Have a great day everyone πŸ™‚ .
