Last night my husband and I went to see the movie Sound of Freedom. I knew what it was about, I’m familiar with the main actor, and I’ve been praying recently for Father to show me how to help with the incredible problem this movie highlights. You see, Sound of Freedom is based on a true story and gives great detail into the evil world of child sex trafficking. There are millions, yes, that’s millions of children that have been kidnapped or lured into this world. Tens of thousands of children every year are sold like cattle to the highest bidder. They become slaves into a world that is simply pure evil, there is no other way to describe it.

There were some debating posts yesterday on social media about the individual who the main character is about. Here’s the deal, as Jim Caviezel, the actor who plays the main character, as he states at the end of the film, this movie is not about him, or even the main character, this movie is about the children. This movie is about bringing light to an evil so big that is going to take an army of everyday people to stop what is happening. Child sex trafficking is the single largest crime network in the world, surpassing the illegal drug trade.

In my opinion, there is no need for debate, this is our children we are talking about. This is not a political issue, this is a human issue and one that all of us should be not only concerned about, but we should be standing up to stop it. This is simply good vs. evil. Our children are the greatest gift from Father. He has told us many times in the Bible, not to harm the children, to raise them with love, to protect them.

It’s time my friends, to be involved, to do our homework, and to understand that we can do something to stop this. It won’t be easy, this network wasn’t built in a day or months, or even a year, this network has been built over a very long stretch and now it has many tentacles. Where do we start, well in my opinion we start in our local communities. We do research, on how children are missing from our communities, for how long, and how did it happen. Then we start working together to find them. And, then when they are found, we help to understand how we help them recover from the evil they have been through.

These children, God’s children deserve all of us to help find them. Imagine looking in your child’s room and seeing an empty bed knowing they are out there somewhere. Hard to imagine right? Well, millions of parents across this world, including Americans are facing that each and every day.

I’m going to start doing some homework, and a lot more prayers to Father to guide me on this journey, so show me how to help. God’s children are His greatest gift, and they as the movie says, are NOT for sale. Father, help us your children to save your children.
