Even at the Dental Office

Over the past few days, I’ve been getting some wonderful text messages and comments via social media about this little blog. I’m so touched by the sharing of love and faith by so many. I just feel that Father has sparked something in His children, as He has done for centuries. Seems every time we veer off the path, He has a way of bringing us back, although admittedly it takes longer than I think He would like.

One of the messages I received yesterday was from a sweet friend sharing a story about a new patient that came to their dental office. She shared how this older woman called to schedule a first-time appointment, and how throughout the conversation the woman seemed very guarded and almost short in her responses. My friend handled the call as they normally do, explaining what would happen when the patient arrived, how they would handle the insurance process, what to expect in regard to care at their office, etc. All of the follow-up communication went fine and as expected and the patient provided all of the necessary paperwork before her visit.

She arrived on time for her appointment and went through the first visit, meeting all the staff and the doctor. At the end of the visit, the patient asked to speak to my friend, who manages the practice. She wanted to tell her how well she had been treated and how happy she was she had come to this practice. My friend thanked the woman and asked if she could assist her walking out to wait for her ride. As they made their way out of the office, the patient stopped and looked at my friend, and asked, “Can I say a prayer for you or someone else?”. At that point, the woman prayed out loud for my friend and her family 🙂 .

My friend then shared with me that later at lunch she told her husband, (the dentist), and her team what had happened. The team then shared with her that this woman had done the same thing with each of them as she made her way through the office.

Yes my friends, Father is on the move, even in a dental office, and He is bringing His children closer to him. Our role is to bring more people to Him, showing them how wonderful a relationship with Him is.

Keep sharing your stories my friends, and if you are willing I would love to share them here. This little blog isn’t about me, this little blog is about Father and His Son who gave His life for us. I look forward to your messages, your calls, and your texts about how God is moving through you and your life. He’s here with us friends, we just need to be open to seeing Him.

Have a wonderful day my friends!
