Last week I told you all about a wonderful young woman, she’s the daughter of a friend, who has been battling liver cancer. Kayla went through a series of chemo treatments to reduce the mass in size, so that it could be removed. Last week Kayla had that surgery and I believe, because of the countless prayers lifted by so many, the surgeon reported after, that it could not have gone better. He was extremely pleased. Kayla and her family had only to wait for the results from the pathology tests and then a check with the oncologist to see if more chemo would be needed.
Well, yesterday the surgeon called with the results of the biopsy…
Here is the report directly from Kayla’s mom…
“Great news!!!! Surgeon just called – Pathology negative margins.
Lymph nodes negative.
80% necrotic so only 20% of mass was still active and now gone. Surgery could not have gone better!!!
Now we wait to see if oncologist wants to do anymore chemo. ![]()

Kayla Strong!!!
Thank you God and all of you and her Medical Team!!!”
So my friends, Father answered so many prayers yesterday. The faith displayed by not only this wonderful young lady, by her family and by the community of people who have been praying for her, was rock solid. Father asks us to trust Him, He asks us to believe in Him and He asks us to have faith. Remember, “the faith of a mustard seed”…
Last night Kayla’s mom shared a few pictures on social media about how Kayla chose to celebrate the news. With ice cream of course! You all know how our family feels about ice cream, glad we are not the only ones 🙂 . One other note, while at the ice cream shop, her mom took a picture of Kalya who just happened to be standing under the most gorgeous rainbow that had formed in the sky!
Yes my friends God is so at work in our lives. Faith, Ice Cream and Father, I’d say that’s a pretty nice trio.
Have a wonderful day my friends, and THANK YOU for lifting prayers for this amazing young lady 🙂 .
Hebrews 11:6
And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.
