Some events over the last few days had me thinking this morning as I sat down to talk with Father. If you’ve followed this little blog very long you know that I start my day with a chat. I usually find myself asking what He wants me to share here, but there are some days I already have an idea and just need some affirmation. He gave me that affirmation this morning.
You see over the last few days I’ve watched some events that remind me of the short life we he have here. In just a few hours it’s like Father showed beginning and end and that through it all He and only He is always there.
Sounding cryptic this morning, I don’t mean to. It’s just that sometimes I feel that Father’s message is so simple that we miss it, I know I do anyway. Yesterday I was so happy to see that a friend who has had difficulty conceiving a child, gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. Simply a dream come true. God blessed her and her husband with His most precious gift, that of new life.
I also watched yesterday as another friend had to say goodbye to the sweet pup they’ve had for over 14 years. As I’ve said before our family pets are just that, they are part of the family and the pain that comes with losing them is real. And…they too are God’s gifts, He gave us every living creature.
So yes, in the span of 24 hours, it was interesting to see the beginning and the end. The gift of new life, the gift of sharing life with those we love, and the crossing home to Father. Through all of these points in life, God is here my friends.
As I said, I think His message is simple. He gave us the gift of life, the gift of living in Him and with Him, and then of course we have the gift of everlasting life, because of His son. Celebrating the birth of a new baby is priceless, and saying goodbye to loved ones, (people and fur babies), this is priceless too. God is with us friends, he knows our joy and He certainly knows our pain.
Today, I hope you have the chance to celebrate this gift of life. Hug your kids, call a friend, snuggle with that fur baby, and lift a prayer to Father to say thank you. Have a good day my friends 🙂 .
2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.
