So many times in my life I’ve said prayers for needs, and ya let’s face it, wants. Over the past several years though as my relationship with Father has grown, as I find myself talking with him as best friend, as well my Father, I find that my prayers have changed. My prayers are for guidance, for strength, they are about giving comfort to and/or healing others. Maybe it’s just age, “growing up” I guess.
I shared yesterday that Father had once again stepped in to show me what I was missing. The placing of a book of prayers at my fingertips, (well it’s been there for like a year), for me to read a prayer so timely. The prayer was about not trying to do it alone, asking for help, and asking for prayer. As I read that prayer and realized, “Duh, this is ME”, I almost immediately felt relaxed. Ya, prayer works 🙂 .
Well, you know what I found yesterday, I found myself asking for help a little more than I usually do. You know what, people helped willing, saying no problem at all. By the end of my day, I really felt better about where I was with my to-do list. Father had clearly shown me that, as I always say to you, I’m not alone, not only is He with me always, but so are the many friends, family, and team members I’m blessed to have in my life.
So yes my friends, prayer, it really does work. It may not come in the timeframe we want, it may not be the answer we always want, but prayer, it’s a powerful thing.
Let’s keep lifting each other in prayer, let’s keep helping each other through those challenging times, and let’s remember, it’s ok to ask for help and to ask for prayers. Father is showing us we are not alone.
Have an awesome day my friends 🙂
