Friends, over the past almost two weeks I’ve been coming here asking for your prayers. I know I can always count on you to support whatever prayer needs come up, and you did not disappoint this time either. I want to say thank you for those faithful prayers!
You see, I got word yesterday that little baby Maevryn who has been in the hospital for 11 days fighting a serious infection, well guess what, she was released to go home! The pictures of this little one smiling and laughing are so heartwarming when just days ago she was lying still and so sick. Maevryn’s daddy wrote yesterday, “Our sweetheart has returned to us this week. We are headed home with a smiling laughing baby. Thank you all for the love and prayers. The outpouring of love from family, friends, and even strangers is just amazing. Thank you to all the nurses doctors and specialists. We still have a little recovery ahead of us but we are headed home!!!”.
Friends, I know there may be times when we feel like Father isn’t answering our prayers. We come to Him every day and ask for guidance, healing, or hope and it seems like the answer isn’t coming. I guess I would simply say be patient, as difficult as it may be, (because we want answers now), we must sometimes be patient. Father tends to do things on His timeline, not ours. However, this I know, He does indeed answer prayer, and when He answers it’s so important that we take the time to say Thank You. I lifted so many thank you’s yesterday afternoon when I heard about Maevryn, and I continue to lift them this morning. What a wonderful gift of healing He has given.
Father does answer my friends, sometimes it may not be the answer we want, or sometimes we miss the answer initially, however, He does answer. I do believe there are times He wants us to live into a situation to see Him more clearly and understand the strength we do have to make it through. Don’t give up on praying my friends, keep talking with Father, and with patience we will see answers.
Lord, thank you again for your healing power over little Maevryn. Thank you for bringing this little child through a storm to the other side. Thank you for giving strength to her parents, grandparents, and entire family, who together with you, overcame. Thank you Father for the doctors and nurses who you blessed with incredible skills to care for the sick. Thank you Father for your protection over this family, may you continue to watch over them as this little child continues to heal. In your Son our Lord, Jesus Christ’s Holy name we pray.
Have a wonderful day my friends, and remember, God IS with us. He will never forsake us, and He always, always wins π .
Mark 11:24
Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
