I’ve mentioned many times before that there are days I come here and I’m not quite sure what to say. I guess today is one of those days. Maybe I’m just tired, my brain is going in a million directions, my thoughts are on upcoming days, and unfortunately, they are not where they should be…on Father.

As I sat down in my temp office I said to myself, “What am I going to write about”. Notice how I said “I”. What am I going to write about? Pretty silly right? It was only a few seconds before I hear in my ear, “What message are you going to share from Me”. Ya, that was Father talking. I rephrased my question out loud this time, “Father what would you like me to share this morning?”. The next thing I heard was “pray”.

So today friends, as I refocus and put priorities back in order, (hard to believe I seem to have to do this every day), I think on this Sunday morning it’s best to just lift a prayer. I can’t think of a better prayer for this morning than Father’s prayer. The simplicity and love within it is really all we need each day.

Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come;
thy will be done;
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation;
but deliver us from evil one.
For thine is the kingdom,
and the power and the glory,
for ever and ever. Amen.

I will remind myself of this prayer often today, and in the days ahead and emphasize the, “Thy will be done” verse. At the end of the day friends, it really is about Father and His will and what He wants from us His children. Let us always have Him first and do His will 🙂 .
