When You’re Not Good Enough

This morning as I sat with Father for my morning chat, I asked Him to give me words to express what I was feeling. Sometimes I know what I want to say but just not quite how to say it. As I sat and shared my thoughts I found that I talked myself right through what I wanted to say, concluding with, “At the end of the day it really isn’t about me is it Father, it’s about You”. Right about that time just a little bit of lightning flashed in the distance. I choose to think that was Father saying, “Yep”.

There are times when I feel I’m not good enough. I have some decent skill sets, I can muddle my way through many situations, and I guess I feel like I can learn and pick things up pretty quickly. There are times though when I do things and then I see someone else does something similar and I’m just like “Wow”… Not gonna lie, satan does a little happy dance in my head and encourages me self-doubt, self-pity, self, self, self… Why do we do this to ourselves, let satan try to convince us that we are not good enough?

Father has blessed us all, His most precious children, He has blessed us with so many talents. We are all gifted with various talents and skills, we are all different, yet we are all one. Some of us are doers and fixers, some of us are creative, some of us are givers, some of us are builders, and the list goes on and on. The key in all of this is for us to celebrate the talents we each have, not for me to just celebrate my talents, but to celebrate the talents that others have. When we come together, join our talents together we build a pretty amazing place.

We are indeed good enough. Father doesn’t want perfection, there was only one child of His that was, and He gave his life for us. Father wants us to do our best, to come together and lift each other. He wants us to share our talents, and to help others grow theirs, so at the end of the day we are using these in service to others.

Friends, if satan is happy dancing around you and trying to convince you that you aren’t good enough, just give him a little slap down. Stand tall knowing that you are a child of God. Share your gifts and talents and give thanks to Father for them.

Have a great day everyone πŸ™‚ .

1 Peter 4:10
As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace.
