In the Beginning – Hope

Ya, I’m guessing when you see the title of this little blog this morning you might be thinking I’m going to chat about Genesis? Nah, I think Father already spelled out how it all started and goodness knows I don’t want to compete with that, slight, slight humor this morning Father πŸ™‚ .

Actually, this was a morning where I wasn’t quite sure what to share and I heard Father say, “Look at where you started”. I pulled out my notebook with all the various post-it notes, scratch pieces of paper, etc., where I started the makings of my book a few years ago. As I’ve mentioned before, this little blog was supposed to be a little book, but timing got away from me and here we are.

One of the first pages of the draft of the book was a page about hope. I actually found two pieces of scripture that I wrote down to share about hope and both are very comforting. As I look back on when all this actually started, it was back in the spring of 2020. Need I say more? We all know how awful things were, and quite honestly so many lost hope, so many felt helpless. That’s when I started to share the scripture passages, psalms, and hymns. Once a day at first, and then I began to post a morning and an evening prayer or passage with a sunrise or a sunset picture, and before I knew it, “Inspirasuns” was born.

This morning, I wanted to share the passages I noted about hope, I think you’ll find comfort in them like I did. Putting our trust continually in Father and not in the actions of man, this is where we will find our greatest hope.

Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Psalm 40:1-3
I waited patiently upon the Lord; *
he stooped to me and heard my cry.
He lifted me out of the desolate pit, out of the mire and clay; *
he set my feet upon a high cliff and made my footing sure.
He put a new song in my mouth,
a song of praise to our God; *
many shall see, and stand in awe,
and put their trust in the Lord.

Yes my friends, God is hope, and He is always here for us. Things in this life, people in this life will pass away, Father though, He will always be here to provide for us and to give hope.

Have a great day my friends πŸ™‚ .
