The Sun Rises

We’ve been up north visiting family over the last few days. To say the weather has taken some getting used to might be a tad of an understatement. We went from sun and 85 to rain, I mean like buckets coming down rain and mid 40’s. I mentioned to someone yesterday that it’s not the cold that is difficult it’s the gray sky, the rain, the damp cold. You just get chilled and struggle to keep warm.

It made me think about the difficult times we have in our lives. Those times when we are struggling with issues. It can seem like things are dark or gray, damp and cold.

This morning, I woke up early, actually, I’m not sure that I slept much because, yep you guessed it, it rained most of the evening. I could hear it on the roof, and all I could think of was…ugh, enough with the rain already. I got up and took my shower and made my way here to this little blog.

Funny thing happened…as the sun began to rise I noticed the beams of light, I noticed the bits of blue sky. Then before I knew it the blue sky became even bluer and the clouds well they were puffy white, not dark and gray. The streaks of the sunrise were coming through the window.

Yes my friends through all the storms we may encounter in this life, the gray skies the damp cold rain, Father will always make the sun to rise. Father brings the beautiful sunrises, the blue skies and new hope for His children.

As you begin your day, may you take a moment to look up, soak in the sunrise and give thanks for the simple gift of coming through the rain.

Have a great day my friends πŸ™‚ .

John 8:12
Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, β€œI am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
