Yesterday I met our canning crew at the church for our final round of canning before our market in a few weeks. Cranberry pepper, and red pepper jelly were the final two canned items on our list, and oh my did they turn out ahhmazing! Anyway, when I pulled into the church, I remembered that yesterday was the day one of our local youth fishing clubs was going to use the dock for fishing. I stepped into the kitchen and also realized that our arts fellowship group was in the parish hall working on their individual arts and crafts projects, (and were there some ahhmazing creations).
Yes, it was a busy day around the place, and I might add, when I stepped out of the car I had to say out loud, “What an absolutely gorgeous morning”. You see the humidity has left us, the temps have cooled and the sky right now is the most beautiful blue. It really was a day gifted from Father.
At one point yesterday morning I ran a load of boxes to our outside recycle bin across the parking lot. When I walked back I was looking at the kids, well the families on the dock fishing, just beyond them, sitting on a bench overlooking the water was a woman who bicycles every morning. She had stopped to rest and was just gazing over the water. I turned to walk back into the building and there the arts group was busy chatting and creating. Back into the kitchen, I went and just smiled as I looked at our canning crew working like a well-oiled machine as they too chatted away 🙂 .
I simply could not deny that Father was so present in the middle of all these various activities. I actually felt Him there as I looked around. We all found ourselves just walking back to the different groups throughout the morning. It just felt so good, hard to explain I guess. But, I guess really it isn’t. It was Father showing us how His children had come together yet again. He had brought us together yesterday, He showed us the beauty. Whether it was the creations that were being made or just the incredible beauty of this earth, He showed us.
There is no denying that Father is here with us, it’s just easier to see His presence sometimes. When those times occur, let’s soak them up like a sponge 🙂 .
Happy Sunday my friends, may you be given a day today like I was given yesterday. May Father’s presence overwhelm you so much you simply can’t explain it 🙂 .
Matthew 18:20
For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.
