Keep Going

This morning something rare happened, I actually had to wake up to my alarm going off. Most mornings, either my husband or I wake up way before and we are getting the morning started. Not so this morning. Now granted we got to bed later than usual so that had something to do with being tired. I had already decided that I was going to opt for riding my bike this morning instead of going to the gym, so my schedule is a little out of whack. Workouts have been intense this week and my body needs a little time to recoup so the bike ride will be a nice change.

When I sat down to have my morning chat with Father, I realized how tired I did feel. Lots going on these days and the next few weeks aren’t going to show much sign of slowing down. As I sat and shared how tired I felt, the thought came to mind to just grab a shower, get a bite to eat, and head to work, skip the bike I thought. At that point, I heard Father say, keep going, exercise your body, get your blood moving, keep going. Ahhh got it. “Ok Lord, I get the message, and the message for this little blog this morning”.

There are times in our lives friends, when we want to just give up, or take the easier path. There are days when we want to just skip the workout or not attend a function we agreed to go to. There are times when we want to throw in the towel because the challenge seems overwhelming. These are the times when Father wants us to keep going. These are the times when He wants us to draw even closer to him.

I’m tired this morning, like draggin’ but I know after my bike ride I will feel better. My body will have more energy and to be honest, my mental state will be clearer as well. Father knows what my body needs, and He knows how I will feel after taking that ride. He knows what each of us needs at every point in our lives. We just need to ask Him to show us the path, to help us through the challenge, and to give us the strength to keep going.

We are stronger than we think. Lend a hand today friends, ask how you can help another, give a smile, touch a hand, say thank you and please, and know that Father is always in our midst. Together with Father, we can help each other keep going, even through the most difficult and challenging times.

Have a great day everyone, I’m off to take that bike ride 🙂 .

For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.
