There are days, as I’ve said before, when I come to this little blog with thoughts of what to share, only to begin typing and they don’t really seem to come together. I find that happens usually when I’m tired, and this morning would be one of those mornings. It was a very busy weekend and my mind is filled with many things still to do. I’m sure none of you have been in this type of situation, full schedule, juggling all the balls, mind won’t shut off…sound familiar?
Well this morning as I started to type this little blog, then erase, then retype, erase, retype, (you get the idea), Father does what He normally does, He kind of tapped me on the shoulder and I heard, “When words elude you, don’t talk, just be quiet and listen”.
This morning friends, I offer a simple prayer for starting this new week. If your week is filled with things to get accomplished, if you are on vacation, or even if you aren’t sure what your week will bring, I offer this prayer. May we all seek to be like Father, and share His love in whatever the week brings.
Heavenly Father we come to you this morning to ask for your guidance. Guide us through this week with you first and foremost in our hearts. Give us clear minds, open hearts, strength to persevere, patience to support, and openness to learn. Father may be we guided by your love to make a difference in what we do. May we be filled with your spirit in such a way that it shows in all our actions. Help us, Lord, when words might elude us, help us to simply be quiet and listen. May this week be filled with opportunities to learn, to grow, and to help others. Guide us and protect us Father, in your Son our Lord Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
So friends, when words might elude you today or this week, just take some time to be quiet, pray, and listen. Have a wonderful day 🙂 .
James 1:19
Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger.
