I can’t believe how quickly this week has been flying by. It’s been silly busy, well I’m guessing you all are thinking, “Every week is busy”, these days. It just seems like the older we get, the faster time goes. I’ll leave that topic for another little blog.
My week has been busy because one of my key team members, our facilities manager, has been on vacation. I was fretting a little going into the week because we had several meetings and outside groups using our parish hall. My facilities manager usually does all the setup and take down for these events, so I’ve been juggling to make sure we have things in order.
Well, I’m not sure why I was worried, everything came together just wonderfully for each of these events. All you have to do is just ask people if they can lend a hand. It’s so simple to do, just explain the situation and that you need help, and before you know it, there are extra hands to get the job done.
Many times we may feel like we’re alone or we have to do something ourselves. I think this is true with our relationship with Father as well. We tend to think we have to handle the challenges this life sends our way, by ourselves. Rather than just asking Father to guide us and give us strength, we struggle on our own and that’s when satan slips through the cracks in the armor. He takes great pleasure in getting into our heads and making us feel like we are alone.
So my friends, let’s take the opportunity to just ask for help when we need it. Let’s reach out to others to lend a hand and let’s take just a little time to talk with Father to ask for guidance and strength. I think we’ll find that people are very happy to help, and I know that God is always right by our side to guide us. We need to just ask 🙂 .
Have a great day my friends!
