Song-Prayer-Gifts

We enjoyed an evening with special friends last night. So many wonderful conversations, an evening filled with much laughter. For a few, we were meeting for the first time, but by the time the evening was over, we felt we’d known each other for years. I love how that happens sometimes, you meet people and just know their heart.

Special gifts were shared last night, the best kind, they were homemade with care and love. The most special gifts are those made by hand. There was everything from fresh granola to soaps and bath salts. Oh, and the fuzzy socks, well those are absolute keepers too πŸ™‚ .

I said a prayer before we sat down to dinner, and what happened after was unexpected, and was my absolute favorite part of the evening. Right after I said a prayer, one of the husbands told everyone to wait and join hands. He then began singing Amazing Grace. The entire group joined in as we sang that first verse and chorus. What a wonderful way to begin a meal.

I know I sound like a broken record, I say it all the time, Father is on the move. He is bringing people together and His children are really starting to see when satan is trying to derail us. We are recognizing it more quickly and able to knock him back down. God’s children are getting stronger and His love is spreading. I’m sure satan isn’t a happy camper πŸ™‚ .

Friends, as you begin your weekend, make some time to give thought to a couple of things. First, homemade gifts for family and friends this year. Next, plan a gathering to give those gifts and enjoy friendship and love of family. Lastly, make some time to be with Father, to grow stronger in Him.

Have a wonderful day, I’m off to have some of that granola πŸ™‚ .
