Now that’s a fun title for this little blog today I think. Let’s face it, we’ve all been there, in a situation where you really want to say something to someone but something inside you says you really shouldn’t.
Ya, I’ve found myself there, recently even. Let’s face it, we’re human and there are just times when we do or say things that just aren’t nice. Hence the title of today’s blog, it really is ok to just bite your tongue and move on. It’s ok to show grace, to be the bigger person, and to ask Father for guidance. I think it’s better to bite your tongue than to ask for forgiveness when you didn’t.
In these busy, and let’s face it, sometimes crazy days, things happen and we find ourselves in the middle of a situation we didn’t expect. Before we know it, we’ve gotten emotional or upset and then we let those emotions get the best of us. Again, been there and done that. This morning though as I reflect on those times when I’ve let the emotions get the best of me, and I’ve let the words fly, I realize how much easier it would have been to just bite my tongue. Then ask Father to lift the emotions and the tension off my shoulders. I missed an opportunity to grow closer in my relationship with Him, and I actually let satan have a fun time.
Today friends as we begin our day, let’s remember that it’s ok to bite our tongues. It’s even more ok to ask Father to take a burden from us. At the end of the day, we’ll be glad we did.
Have a great day my friends 🙂 .

Set a guard, O Lord, over my mouth; keep watch over the door of my lips.
