Unbelievable… Believe

Many times in this life there are things that happen and you just think to yourself, unbelievable. Yesterday was one of those times for sure.

My husband got a phone call around 4:00 pm from a friend asking if he’d heard what happened. He was calling to let him know that traffic was going to be terrible driving home from work. When my husband asked what was happening, his friend explained that a private plane had crashed on I-75, the major interstate that runs north/south through most of the state of FL. That plane crashed just past the exit to our community. The plane could accommodate 12 people, however, only five were on board. Three of those five made it out of the plane before it burst into flames. The remaining two did not make it out.

So, as you can imagine one of the first things that goes through your mind is how unbelievable the entire situation was. A plane crashes on the interstate near your home. That in itself is unbelievable. However, other things come to mind. Let me explain how absolutely crazy crowded Interstate 75 is at any given time of the day, and at 3:15pm on a Friday afternoon in season, ya it’s crazy busy. The plane hit one car, the wing hit the back window of an SUV and the woman driving was able to pull the car over to the side of the road. Though the car was of course damaged, everyone inside was safe. That is even more unbelievable, that more people were not injured or worse.

When you see the footage of the crash and the plane bursting into flames, it’s also unbelievable that anyone made it out of that crash alive, yet three people did.

Well my friends, I simply say believe. Yes, the plane crashed on a major interstate, yes three of the five on board survived, yes only one car was hit on this heavily traveled interstate, and yes, Father was right there in the middle of it all. Please don’t misunderstand, the loss of two lives is tragic, and I prayer for those people and their families, however there are so many things that could have happened and this situation be so, so much worse.

This morning friends, I simply ask that you say a prayer for all those involved in this tragedy yesterday. Pray for the two who lost their lives and for their families, pray for the three survivors who made it out and pray for the family in the car that was hit. They will need continued prayers, and the strength of Father to carry them through, and I know, yes, I believe that He will indeed be there for them.

Have a good day friends.
