Well, friends, last night was a little restless. Actually, it was more than a little restless. It was one of those nights when you shut the light off because you know you have to go to sleep, but your body isn’t really ready for that. I’ve learned that when this happens I should probably just get up and read a little more until I feel more tired. Nope didn’t do that, sooo, the mind just did its thing. You know thinking about work, thinking about family, thinking about friends, yes, it was a restless evening. So, note to self…when you know you are not ready to fall asleep, don’t force it. Dig a little deeper into reading the Bible and find the peace that will allow you to sleep comfortably.

As I sat with Father this morning asking him for guidance for this day I felt him asking me to share it with you. Meaning, share just a simple prayer to start this week. It is the best way to start your day and your week, just lifting up some prayer. So, if you had a restless night, or even if you slept like a baby, I hope this prayer sets the tone for your day and your week.

Dear Heavenly Father, As I greet this new day, I come before You with a heart full of gratitude for the gift of life and the dawn of a new week. I place my trust in Your unfailing love, knowing that it is the anchor of my faith and the source of my strength.

Lord, in the quiet of this morning, I seek Your guidance and wisdom. Show me the way I should go as I navigate the challenges and opportunities that this week holds. Illuminate my path with Your light, and grant me the discernment to make choices that align with Your will.

I entrust my life and the experiences of this week into Your loving hands. May my actions and interactions reflect Your love and grace. Use me as an instrument of Your peace and a channel of Your blessings to those I encounter.

Lord, help me to find joy in the journey, hope in the uncertainties, and purpose in each moment. May this Monday morning prayer set the tone for a week filled with Your presence, Your guidance, and Your unfailing love.

In Jesus’ holy name, I pray. Amen
