Me to Thee

It’s been one of those mornings. You know, you wake up before the alarm, and your mind is already filled with things on your to-do list. I got up early, moved through my normal routine, sat down to write this little blog, and boom got totally distracted. Before I knew it, I’d gone down at least two rabbit holes and realized I was totally derailed.

I have just one goal in the mornings before I head out the door to work out. Well, two I guess. The first is to finish a bottle of water, and the second is to write this little blog. Not difficult goals, and if I stay focused they usually come together very nicely. “If I stay focused”, she says. OY!

I have found that if I can put Father first, not me, then things usually come together a little better. If I stay in that routine of starting my day with Him and then immediately go to this little blog to share what I think are the thoughts He wants me to share, then before I know it, this little blog has made its way to you, and I still have some time to go down other rabbit holes. However, when I vary from that routine when I don’t have Father first, things tend to get out of sorts and I’m totally off track. That being off track leads to feeling anxious, not getting things accomplished, and before you know it, crankiness has set in, and heck, I’m just starting the day!

Fortunately, Father tapped me on the shoulder early into that second rabbit hole this morning and reminded me that I had something else more important to handle. I had to shift from me to Thee. In doing so I realized that is truly what living this life is all about; shifting from the me to Thee. We have to be living this life not for us, but for Father. Don’t get me wrong, I know it’s tough some days. The times when we’re in the challenges and we don’t understand why. It’s easy to jump on the me train. It’s in those very times when we need to offer it all to Father and ask Him to take the burdens so that we may focus more on Him.

So as you begin your day my friends, just take a moment to start it with Father first. Go from me to Thee, let Him set the tone for your day, let Him light your path, and when He does, just start walking. He’s always right there with us.
Have a great day my friends, may it be filled with as few rabbit holes as possible šŸ™‚ .

Ephesians 1:3
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places.
