Have I mentioned lately that it’s pretty interesting how Father just seems to drop into places when you really aren’t expecting it? He seems to have some pretty impeccable timing.

We’re all busy these days. I frequently comment that I’m not sure where the days are going. In the midst of that busyness, it’s easy to just put your head down and do. Especially if you are a type A personality like me, you see the task(s) at hand and you want to just git ‘r done. Ya, I’m pretty much describing my weeks lately.

Well, Father does what He normally does, last night He dropped in to recenter me…again. He reminded me of what is important. He reminded me to take a moment and be grateful for the people around me. He reminded me to be grateful for the gift of His creation. He reminded me that He has placed me here to bring others to Him.

You see, one of our choir members sent me a picture from a month or so ago. I was wrapping up the day, feeling tired from the busy week, and was ready to be home on my lanai. The picture was of the beautiful sky we had during a sunset that evening. The picture is the cover of today’s little blog. I remember that night and how everyone was commenting on the sunset. I was bummed that night because I didn’t get the picture. Well last night, as I got into my car to head home, I glanced at my phone and there was that beautiful sky. It was an instant reminder of Father and His gifts.

Friends, don’t let yourself get so busy that you forget the gifts that Father presents every day. Allow yourself to recenter each day. Oh, and take a few moments to help others do the same. Send a picture to a friend, an “I love you” text to your kids, or just give a smile to a stranger. Recenter and share that love of Father.
