The Things That Bind

A friend of mine is an amazing cook. She has her own social media pages and those of us who have subscribed just love her daily recipes. It’s not just the scrumptious dishes, but healthy smoothies, and educational facts about the benefits of certain spices or herbs, she has it all. She started this series I guess I’d call it, several years ago. She got wrapped up in other things and it took a back seat. She’s recently jumped back in full hog, so to speak, and I’ve just loved watching her passion come to life.

I find myself texting her asking for advice about this spice or that, does she have a recipe for this or that, has she been to a particular market or farm, you get the idea. I love sharing info with her and yes, picking her brain for ideas. It’s wonderful how Father brings people into our lives, and how we find things that bind us together, like cooking.

I’ve noticed recently how there are other ways that Father brings us together with things that bind us. The love of sunsets, music, or volunteering. The desire to just spend time with others while crafting or learning how to play bridge, (some residents in our community have recently started this each Saturday). Yes, I see Him bringing people together in simple yet powerful ways. The more these relationships are strengthened, I think the stronger our relationship with Father becomes. It’s these relationships that will get us through the challenges that life brings our way.

I see us, God’s children, I see us growing in so many ways lately. I see Him moving through us, and it’s amazing to watch.

So friends, take a look around and notice what is binding you to others. What brings you together. Take time to build on that, and bring others into that fold. Together, we, children of the most high, together with Him, we can do anything.

Have a great day my friends, oh and to my Irish peeps out there, Happy St. Patrick’s Day 🙂 .

Matthew 18:18
Truly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
