Neighborhood Watch

There are just so many times when God knows what we need, and of course, He knows it before we do. It’s kind of how he works.

Last night I got home from work a little late. As I came around the corner to our place, I was surprised, pleasantly so, to see four of our neighbors, AND their fur babies standing in our driveway. My husband was there, he had just helped one of the neighbors by putting air in her bike tires. I pulled in and excitedly got out of the car to make my way through giving snuggles and belly rubs to my k-9 buddies. It’s funny, they all wait in line and I just move from pup to pup giving and getting snuggles. It certainly is a win/win for both of us πŸ™‚ .

After the snuggles, we all stood chatting for a few minutes, and it wasn’t long before another neighborhood couple made their way down the street. This time the pups were getting treats as well. They all know that this neighbor will open the door and give tasty treats. Ya, our neighborhood pups are treated very well by those of us who don’t have fur babies πŸ™‚ . After the treats were passed, we all continued to chat for a few minutes, just catching up. Talked about the neighborhood, a local restaurant, you get the idea. It was just nice to connect.

Yes, I think Father knew we needed that connection last night. It was a totally impromptu gathering but one that made me feel good. We need so much more of this in our world. Gathering with neighbors, nothing fancy, just a little time to talk and stay in touch. The stronger those bonds, the more support that is there when needed. As I’ve said before, I do believe Father is on the move and is bringing His children closer and closer together.

Friends, I just encourage you to build those connections. Yes we all have family and close friends, but get to know your neighbors. You never know when they or you will need support.

Have a good day everyone πŸ™‚ .,

Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, to build him up.
