Ahh, yes, taking a little time today to relax. It was a very busy week last week, culminating in an absolutely wonderful Easter Sunday. The excitement of the kids, the smiles, the uplifting feeling of Christ risen, it was everywhere. Oh how this world needs to feel this every day, what a difference it would make. Can you imagine if we treated every day like it was Easter? The greeting of every person with a smile, saying Happy Easter, being dressed in our bright colors and “Sunday bests”.
Everyone I met yesterday just seemed happy. As my husband and I made our way back from church we were amazed at the number of businesses that were actually closed for the day. Grocery stores, restaurants, and even the car wash was closed in observance of Easter Day 🙂 . Yes, it made me happy that these businesses were recognizing Easter! People were taking time to be with family, to give thanks for their many gifts. Social media pictures showed everyone together and happy. Yes, I wish we treated every day like Easter.
Friends, let’s give some thought to this as we make our way through the week. Let’s remember the happiness we felt yesterday, and let’s continue to share that joy, and that love that we felt as we celebrated the resurrection of our Lord. We will one day be with Him in paradise, let us work every day to bring others to that joy 🙂 .
