Father in the Midst

Yesterday was a very full and busy day, and you know what, Father was in the midst of all of it. A few days ago I mentioned a parishioner who I spent time with while she was planning her husband’s memorial service. Well, yesterday we held that service and it was simply beautiful. The memories shared, the liturgy of the service, the flowers the friends who came to support, yes Father was in the midst of honoring one of His children.

In the afternoon I received a text from my brother. He’s been dealing with some health issues and the report was so wonderful. What could have been a very scary day healthwise, well it turned out that the nurses, in his words, “kicked his butt out the door” 🙂 . Yes, Father was in the midst of healing one of His children.

After that long day, my husband and I stopped at what has become one of our favorite restaurants for a beverage and a light dinner. The Master’s was on the tv and we enjoyed watching the last holes as we chatted at the bar. We enjoyed some good food, were able to relax and we shared several laughs. It still makes my heart happy how much we laugh together. In this world where marriages don’t seem to last like they used to, we find our relationship growing stronger and deeper as the years go by. That my friends is what love is all about. Yes, Father was in the midst of the love shared by two of His children.

After dinner when we walked to our car, (I had parked one street over from the restaurant), we looked towards the beach and saw the most beautiful glow of the sunset. Even though it was almost dark, I guess they call that twilight, I told my husband we needed to head down the street to the beach. It was very cool and the wind was blowing, but it didn’t matter. We hopped out of the car and up onto the little boardwalk to see the most beautiful horizon, the cover of today’s little blog. Yes, Father was in the midst of showing His children His most beautiful creation.

Friends, every day is a gift. It can bring challenges but if we remember that God is always with us, we can get through any challenge. As I’ve said many times before in this little blog, Father never promised us that life would be easy, quite the opposite, He said we would face difficulties. What He has always promised is that He will always be with us. Whatever you may be going through in this life, always remember His promise to us, and lean into the love and strength that He offers.

Have a wonderful day my friends, take time to look for Father in the midst of this new day :-).

Matthew 28:20
Teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.
