Weekend Wanderings

If you’ve been reading this little blog for very long you know that Saturday is my favorite day of the week. Well, ya I know, it’s a favorite day of the week for most people, for many obvious reasons. It’s typically a slower day for me and a day to get out and enjoy the local things. My husband and I usually wander on the weekends, our newest stop being the local Farmer’s Markets.

So we’re off today to do some wandering. First stop will be the Farmer’s Market, and then off to visit a local farm about an hour from us. We’ll enjoy the drive, the day looks to be beautiful from a weather standpoint. This local farm raises everything from beef to pork, chickens to veggies, and they also sell homemade bread and bakery items. I’m looking forward to bringing home some locally grown items, supporting the local farms, and enjoying fresh goodies.

I’ve said it before, it’s so important to take a day of downtime. Even more important to share it with those you love. Father blesses us with time like this, too often we don’t enjoy that blessing. Remember, Father rested on the 7th day 🙂 .

So, friends, I hope you get the opportunity this weekend to enjoy the blessing of time with family and friends, and to enjoy it in Father’s creation. Support a local business, enjoy a local park, play a game of golf, grab a fishing pole and sit by a lake, wander through some antique stores, whatever it may be, enjoy today.

Have a wonderful day friends!

Psalm 118:24
This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.
