If you follow this little blog, you know that each morning and evening, I spend some quality time with Father on my lanai, (patio). The mornings are different because it’s usually very quiet, the fountain in our lake is off, there are not many lights on in the neighborhood, and maybe an occasional cricket chirping in the distance. This morning though as I sat down I almost immediately heard two birds chatting back and forth. They were having the most beautiful conversation, I hadn’t heard this pair before.

As I talked with Father and asked for guidance to help me through the day in His ways, the birds continued to converse in the distance. I smiled at one point realizing that birds like this provide hope in a way. They bring hope that a new day is dawning and in that day there is opportunity to heal, to forgive, to learn, and to grow. God has a way of providing signs like these, I think so anyway. He is speaking to us, showing us that He is here.

So my friends, whatever you may be going through take a little time to sit quietly with Father. Allow Him to fill you and show you the hope that abounds when we trust fully in Him. It’s not easy at times to turn everything over, letting go of the control we feel we have. When we do, just like those birds singing this morning, we’ll feel peace and hope that a new day brings.
